Compart's Elite Genes A.I. is a family owned and operated A.I. center offering Duroc, York and Landrace boars. The boars available to you are the same sires we are using in our nucleus herds and gilt multiplication farms. For health and biosecurity reasons, some farms are moving back to internal multiplication of their own replacement females. Here is an excellent opportunity for producers to access our maternal York and Landrace boars to realize the production advantages of Compart genetics. Most breeding companies will not allow people outside the organization to access their nucleus sires, but would rather sell sons and grandsons of their "elite" sires. This method distances producers by one to three generations from the nucleus farms. It is at the nucleus level where the greatest genetic improvement is made, and staying close to the elite sires assures the customer of maximum genetic improvement.

Extensive isolation and testing procedures are followed before new boars enter this PRRS naive boar stud. Blood PCR testing for PRRS is done every collection day. This is the most advanced technology available to monitor if PRRS enters the herd. In addition to these procedures, monthly blood testing and walk-throughs are done by an accredited veterinarian.
